hi, i’m having troubles getting sound to work with
tvtime and suse 11.2.
i have a Terratec Cinergy HT PCI MKII card with cx88 driver. picture works fine.
when i use sound application (input tab) and choose conexant cx8801 analog stereo the input level is working.
i’ve tried several versions of the sox workaround but still get no sound.
any pointer into the right direction reallly appreciated.

I have a similar problem, same card. Image and no sound in xawtv and mplayer, nothing at all in MythTV. I keep searching and trying and will post if I find a solution.
Just to close this for myself. I have tried everything I could find on the net. Is there anyone who successfully uses this card with any linux distro ? I gave up and finally installed windows and the vendor (windows only) drivers. Which means I now also enjoy the standard windows features like “application hangs and the only way out is a hard machine restart”…
This is way beyond irritating since the same card has been in this machine and working since 2005 with Suse 10.3. Anyone know of an updated driver or did the maintainer just bail out on it? My card is a Leadtek TV 2000 XP Expert. Worked really well before. Why does the driver no longer work? Support is so spotty with some hardware. I tend to be careful about the hardware I purchase for this reason but I still get burned for on hardware that used to work. I’ve been using Suse since 2000 but this one has me completely stuck.
what is the ‘dmesg|grep audio’ output?
