Suse 11.1 no Wine-doors

Howdy all, I just installed 11.1 and I am tring to get it configured like my Suse 11.
I added the Wine repo and installed Wine but Wine-doors does NOT show up in Yast Software management so I can not install.
Do I need another repo for this or wait for it to be added.

The only program I need it for is Dreamweaver 8, I have found alternatives to all other Win programs I use.

you can try installing the one in the 11.0 repo, you can build it from
the tar or src.rpm or you could contact the maintainer:
meissner@suse.de

Suse 11.0 x64, Kde 4.2beta (unstable repo), Opera 9.x weekly

I used the 11.0 repository and was able to download and install Wine-doors just as you could with 11.0. So far it is working great with 11.1.

Here is the link that I used.
Wine - openSUSE

Jerry

winetricks might help?!

And it seems others have successfully used the source from 11.0

You can also consider VBox. You will never have a problem installing windows apps in a VM of XP.

As added thought:

I think wine-doors has been pulled from the openSUSE 11.1 repos due to the 1.2 version being broken/crippled with the latest versions of WINE. Not sure about this though…
Development of wine-doors does seem to be stuck a bit… the 1.3 and 2 version are taking quite a while to be released.

keep an eye out for 11.1 additions using http://software.download.org/search

for a current 11.0 version : OBS wine packages openSUSE 11.0

Cheers,

Thanks to all, I used the 1-click install for Suse 11.0 and it works great thanks again.

DW 8 has installed easily, without wine-doors, on my 11.1 install.

Although I’ve not test it extensively it appears to be working fine.

Install wine using Yast.
From Terminal run winecfg
From the DW install directory run wine Dreamweaver8-en.exe

Ditto for FireWorks 8
