Since SuSE 11.1 is reputed to mount NTFS partitions in read-write mode by default, does that mean that the YaST fstab GUI function now works with NTFS as well as FAT?
You can successfully use the GUI partitioner to mount both fat and ntfs partitions. The developers have selected default options whereby fat now mounts read/write but ntfs mounts more conservatively as read-only. You can use the “fstab options” button in the GUI partitioner to alter the ntfs options and make the partition mount read-write.
