I have searched a while, but did not found the solution. I have Suse 11.1 installed connecting via WLAN (NetworkManager) to the Fritzbox 7050. Everything works fine, but the name of the suse computer is empty. Now I want the name to connect from my laptop.
Using the IP works fine but. Is there a way to tell the FritBox the name of the suse computer?
The second, question would be how to configure the NetworkManager to connect to WLAN on system startup.
Sorry to bothering you with this, but I really spent a lot of time searching for the answer, and maybe the answer that easy that no one else had this problem.

Dunno, but you can also tell the laptop to find the name in the hosts file
in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ (XP)
Probably the easiest way if you only have a few PCs on the network.

The Network Manager, right click edit connections, select your wlan and proceed thru the levels of config, at some point there is a check box to connect automatically.
Ok, ok this was my mistake. I had to go through the all the configurations and not leave in the middle, I did not know that there are more pages to go.
Thanks for your help caf4926.
