-=welcome=- to our forum, but are you using openSUSE 10.2, or SUSE
Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
version 10 SP2?

if using SLED or SLES you should be over in forums.novell.org, as that
software is supported by Novell…

if you are using openSUSE 10.2 then you need to know that software is
no longer supported by the community…that ran out November 30th 2008
(cite: http://en.opensuse.org/SUSE_Linux_Lifetime)

if you don’t know for certain which you have, this in a terminal will
tell you:

cat /etc/SuSE-release

in either case you are welcome to keep checking here to see if someone
has an answer for you…

as mentioned, openSUSE 10.2 reached end of life and end of support by
this community in November TWO years ago…

you are welcome to hang out and hope your subject line attracts
someone who can help…

but, for the safety and security of your system you should install a
currently supported system like openSUSE 11.1 or 11.2, or one of the
longer term support systems like SLED/S 10 or 11…
