i wonder to buy laptop based on

with windows installed.
I wont to change with some
linux distribution.

week ago during storm I was without electricity.
I have 2 - twins comp’s -
AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
one windows xp pro, one suse 10.3
with same ups (new changed battery)
the windows comp use the ups power for 20-25 min (with no task),
the linux-suse use the same ups power for more than 90 min
(end of one movie 40 min, wonder 10 min what to do,
and beginning of another movie 40 min)
can this be mistake ???
