I wish to upgrade from 11. 3 to 11. 4 using terminal, I successfully got right to the reboot using sudo but could not get past the request for supper user so could not reboot.

Please how do I find out about super user.

sudo bash

should get you a root (superuser) shell.

Thanks, sorry to be dim but at what point do I use sudo bash

I’m not quite sure what you are doing.

If the plan is to update with “zypper dup”, then you start with “sudo bash” to get a root shell, and do everything in that shell.

Yes zypper dupe is part of the commands so I will resume the update tomorrow.
