Motherboard Asus P5QL PRO with Intel P43/ICH10 chipset.
I installed Suse 11 in IDE mode. This works fine.
When I switch the BIOS to AHCI mode this is not detected by SuSE 11.
I have entered boot option “insmod=ahci”.
However still no luck.
Suse 11 gives error message that it cannot find /dev/sda1 and offers fallback to /dev/sda2, but this does not work either.
When I look in the BIOS all devices in AHCO mode are detected.
Maybe I need to load other drivers before booting ?
