openSUSE 12.3 32bit

How to run the application with X server?

You can’t run GUI applications with sudo on a default openSUSE installation. Use “gnomesu -u congyo wine /home/congyo/notepadV1.6.exe” instead.

But is congyo really a different user? If it is your username, you don’t need anything like that at all, just run “wine /home/congyo/notepadV1.6.exe” in that case.

Much thanks to you, wolfy. Is the same reason that I couldn’t run Tor Bundle Browser in openSUSE KDE live CD?

How should I know?

You would have to tell me what you did and how it didn’t work…:wink:

But if you tried to run it with “sudo” then I guess yes, it is the same reason. Except that on the LiveCD there would not be any other user than “root” and “linux” by default.

Why are you using sudo anyway, are you not logged in as “congyo”?

you don’t need admin/root access to run wine or install any application
using wine
Also if you using the below product. Use the “jar” version
