Stuttering sound on Leap 15.1 Gnome

I am using Leap 15.1, which I recently installed using a DVD from thelinuxshop, on my brand new Novatech Life NTA311 PC.

I selected the Gnome desktop and used the one-click option to install the multimedia package. The latter did involve me in having to make a few manual decisions, although I chose Packman wherever this was available.

However, when using either the optical drive to listen to music or watching/listening to items on YouTube, there is an irritating stuttering on the sound.

This is entirely random in nature.

Is there any easy fix to this that somebody could kindly walk me through?

My knowledge of Linux is regrettably very limited, so please have patience.

Many thanks.
