so I just installed suse 9, gnome
I want to enable the mulitiple desctops.
Normally there is an icon in the lower corner that lets you swith between desktops. Where did it go?
I went to desktop effects and enabled multiple desktops, but?
how do I switch?

cool, it says I only have one desktop?
Please, next time you post, use a better Title than “stupid question”. Perhaps something like “How to enable multiple desktops” or something like that, … even better, state in your title if you wish to know this with which desktop? ie with Gnome, or KDE4, and state if XGL or what “desktop effects” you have enabled.
Thanks.
Is there a specific reason why you have just installed such an old version as suse 9? (other than reasons like you had the CDs right at hand)
sorry about that. I have been using fedora 9 for the last three days before giving up on its network managment. I need wireless and I feel open suse is better for it.
I am running openSuse 11 and I have changed from gnome to kde4 since the start of this post.
I would still like to know how to set up more desktops.
