Stuff that isn't in Opensuse and should be like Gmount & Homebank

Can developers include LZMA 7z in their installation DVD, because then i don’t have to download a file and put it into folder.

You’re missing Gmount-iso so you can mount ISO images.

You’re also missing HomeBank

And finally you’re missing Nvu

And don’t forget WINEDOORS (frontend for Wine)
it’s open source front end

Hi
You need to create a request here;
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Openfate

In Gnome, I just right-click and open iso images with file-roller?
Gmount-iso doesn’t seem to be an active project?

p7zip is on the DVD (port of 7z.exe)
http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=7z&baseproject=openSUSE%3A11.3&lang=en&exclude_filter=home%3A&exclude_debug=true

Homebank is in the packman repository

wine-doors is in the education repository

Hi,

Before stating that something isn’t available in openSUSE, you should have done some research. In fact :

  • homebank is available through the packman repo (zypper se hombank) : PackMan :: Informationen zum Paket homebank
  • For the nvu, know that the final release has been in 2005. It has been replace by kompozer (zypper se kompozer)

GMount is indeed not available in openSUSE.

For wine-doors, I don’t think you’ll ever find it in openSUSE. Did you visit their website. It states :

Very very broken and I don’t have time to fix it

So, consider this project dead.

Try PlayOnLinux instead.

****, malcolmlewis got me on this one… :stuck_out_tongue:

The Packman Repo page for Homebank PackMan :: Package details for homebank ] states " This package has no releases. "

Also, when installing the homebank-4.4-1.2.x84_64.rpm, the install fails because lobofx.so.5()(64bit) is not part of openSUSE 12.1 I’ve not found a means of adding this file to my system.

Hope this gets fixed. Homebank is a very useful program.

Available in GNOME:Apps…

GMount might be a nice project for yourself to learn Packaging

Got it downloaded & running. Thanks much!

Do you really need a GUI for this? It’s very easy to do from the terminal,

mount -o loop some.iso /path/to/mount

rotfl! these are days when Gnome and KDE is so delightful that I forgot about my most basic terminal window.
