stuck at the kernel?

It’s my first time trying to install opensuse. when I reboot, i get the option to run the installer. After I select that I get to a blue screen entitled Linuxrc Kernel, and a message that says make sure cd number 1 is in your drive. hitting ok does nothing for me, so i hit back, select my language and get to the start installation screen. I choose DVD/CDROM for the source and get no repository found :frowning:

So then I copied the iso file to my desktop and mounted it… got back to the kernel and selected hard disk for source medium and now it says enter the source directory and i have no idea what to do :frowning:

help please?

Where did you get this iso what version? Did you check the MD5 check sums?

  1. download was corrupt

  2. maybe got an old version and only one of the 5 CDs that used to be the install??

Never ever install Suse from a running Windows instance. :X
