I have done this now, I have installed ushare from…Software.openSUSE.org
I have then configured the etc\ushare.conf file…
The port for Xbox is 49152. enable_xbox=yes
I did change at the bottom of the file the names adding USHARE to the options - I found for some reason that Xbox mode didn’t start if I didn’t - a bug in ushare config?
Then from command line ushare stop, then ushare start (sorry I don’t know what the errors mean) I then in Yast>run levels>expert added runlevels 3 & 5 and toggled on as per post reply by swerda (thank you) hopefully this will have ushare start at boot.
I have found that even though I have added the run levels and it shows up in ps aux (from command line) the share directory hasn’t been indexed. I found a comment to this effect in the Ubuntu forums - but if I enter ushare from a terminal window the directory will be indexed and Xbox will see the files - this kind of defeets the purpose of the program - is the program broken of am I not doing something correctly
