Hello guys,
I have installed Open use 12.1 after a long use of 11.3 with a perfect connection!
Now, after the new fresh installation of 12.1, the wireless connects normally for a few seconds and without any problem then suddenly the connection stops with a full wireless connection. I have checked the pinging functionalit, it connect is with a good pinging value and then stops suddenly and it gives unreachable message.
I do not know how to solve this problem. My other laptops works normally on the current router.
Please help me.

You’ll need to post the result of
/sbin/lspci -nnk

Your device is one I have seen users report issues with before, but I cannot see why. As you can see the kernel driver is loaded
03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN [Shiloh] Network Connection [8086:4237] Subsystem: Intel Corporation WiFi Link 5100 AGN [8086:1311] Kernel driver in use: iwlagn
Install rfkill and check the results when it goes down
/usr/sbin/rfkill list
Every thing is indicating no, soft and hard.
What shall I do then?

Can you just clarify if the wireless is totally down (ie: you can’t even login to the router)
Or is it just you can’t access WWW
My search brought up some results that indicated some success by users switching to wicd and or a different kernel and I did see some suggestion of compat-wireless
