Strange windows

Okay so I just got my new Sony Vaio today and installed openSUSE strait away. It works great except for one snag. When ever I right click on anything, the window that shows up is… broken. Like part of the background is transparent with vertical lines of what the background is supposed to look like. It also happens to the maximize, minimize, exit buttons when I hover over them.

The right click thing doesn’t happen in my browser but the max, min, x buttons still do it.

(I can post a pic if I could figure out a) how to take a screenshot of desktop and b) how to post a pic not from the Internet.)
(I know the doom is coming: non tech savy people are starting to use Linux. But it’s your fault for making it so user friendly)

probably a graphics driver update will fix you up…do some reading
(before you start twisting the knobs), one or both of these are likely
to help:

http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Configuring_graphics_cards

if not, don’t google and expect everything you find about Linux to apply
to your openSUSE, because in fact everything you read about openSUSE
11.0 and graphics problems is wrong for your (i guess, since you
didn’t say) 11.4

Thanks! It was the graphics driver. It works on nomodeset boot. I’m going to try and fix the problem permanently later today
