Strange Gnome Window Border Problem

Hey

When I start things such as the gnome-terminal and gnome-su, they start
in the top left corner of the screen with the window border off the
screen. I need to move the window to see it. I’m running Gnome 2.22 with
Compiz.

That post seems to be describing an issues with graphics cards,
specifically, ATI, which I do not have.

I have solved the issue.

For reference: it was the fault of a disabled compiz plugin … “place
window” to be exact.
