Strange behaviour with ARK extract?

Hi,
Using the context menu (right click) path to extract files from a *.tar.gz to an empty folder within Dolphin, it reports “File Exists”.
Looking at he files that ARK reports as already existing, they are *.crt and *.key (certificate files).
How should I uncompress files that contain these sort of files? Or is the file types not significant and I need to investigate some other reasons for this?
