STEAM (...please install S3TC texture support)

when trying to launch a game from STEAM (thats working fine) i get the error message

This application requires either the GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc, or the GL_EXT_texture_compression_dxt1 + GL_ANGLE_texture_compression_dxt3 + GL_ANGLE_texture_compression_dxt5 OpenGL extension. Please install S3TC texture
support.

i have tried to fix this on my own and have failed… ANY HELP?

Install the package libtxc_dxtn from Packman:
http://packman.links2linux.de/package/libtxc_dxtn

You did not say what video card and what driver.
