steam cant open native linux games but games run fine through proton
the logs give nothing useful it just says that the program starts then dies instantly
im not running the flatpak version of steam because there are some games i use wrappers for in the launch args and those dont work with the flatpak version
i have reinstalled steam and the broken games multiple times and it doesnt fix anything
please help
An example game which does not work? Preferable one which can be installed without buying?

This game starts flawlessly here with the Steam version provided in the NON-OSS repo.
im running that version and it doesnt here for some reason
told it to reinstall the steam runtime v1 and v2 and it fixed itself, guess those were corrupt somehow
