Startpage October 2012

I have no idea if this is the “right” forum to post in. I have been wondering why openSUSE homepage often shows outdated info like:

       News & Events https://www.opensuse.org/images/frontpage/rss_icon.png](http://news.opensuse.org/feed/)

It dosent seems like anyone cares eitgher and correct the info. Or is it 10minutes edit rule there as well? :P.

Yes I’m irritated today. Its still snowing outside. anyone that was asking for a white christmas are welcome home to take care of the snow on my yard.

regards with a ;).

You failed to provide a link to the page you mean.

When I look at https://en.opensuse.org/, which is IMHO the home page of openSUSE, I see nothing of the kind you mention.

Of course your idea about what is “openSUSE homepage” may vary from mine, but please do not spoil the time of other people to let them guess.

Mea culpa (and sorry). The page is https://www.opensuse.org/en/ witch is the page that shows up when googling for example.

https://www.opensuse.org/ is a free and Linux-based operating system for your PC, Laptop or Server. You can surf the web, manage your e-mails and photos, do office work, …work, …
That is the page that shows up in FF as a startpage default.

Well I guess that I share with others where the “official” homepage is and spoiling my time to read outdated info.

regards

I now see what you mean. Indeed that should be updated. But we, your fellow openSUSE users have no means to do that I assume.

Maybe one of the Mailing Lists? (There is a link to them on that very page). Maybe the Marketing one. Just a suggestion.

Your time maybe spoiled by that page, but what is the reason to spoil our (your fellow openSUSE users) time as a reaction?

It was reported to one of the mailing lists a few days ago.
