Switched from Arch and performed a generic desktop installation (I use a tiling window manager mainly and do not need a desktop environment) with Leap 15.2-1 on an HP-15 with an Intel Iris graphics card.
Everything is working great except for apps that was not installed from the out-of-the-box enabled repos. Specifically, Visual Studio Code and Standard Notes have stacks of mini-horizontal lines from top-to-bottom (see pictures in links). They all have this problem except for Timeshift, which has a GTK-based GUI (apologies if my terminologies or descriptions does not make sense).
This problem was not encountered in Arch. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Or have suggestions on where to look?
