Can you try this: close evolution completely (log out and back in should do the trick), then open a Terminal and type ‘evolution’ (without the quotes) to start Evo. When it crashes, there should be an error trace in the Terminal. Paste that text back to the forum and perhaps we can shed some light into this.

I noticed just today that I have the same problem as woojinlee, first I
thought I have closed evolution by accident but then it happened again.
Since I have no idea what this was I will do what you propose and start
evolution from the command line until the problem happens again and report
back.
Hi,
I’m having the same problem with Evolution. When i start from a console i get the following messages:
rob@suse113:~> evolution
(evolution:18777): e-data-server-DEBUG: Loading categories from “/home/rob/.evolution/categories.xml”
(evolution:18777): e-data-server-DEBUG: Loaded 31 categories
*** nss-shared-helper: Shared database disabled (set NSS_USE_SHARED_DB to enable).
*** nss-shared-helper: Shared database disabled (set NSS_USE_SHARED_DB to enable).
(evolution:18777): evolution-network-manager-WARNING **: The name org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files
After the crash these messages are added:
** (evolution:18777): CRITICAL **: file gkr-operation.c: line 350 (gkr_operation_request): should not be reached
** (evolution:18777): CRITICAL **: file gkr-operation.c: line 350 (gkr_operation_request): should not be reached
The problem is very frequent so i hope it can be solved. I’m using Evolution on OpenSuse 11.3 64 bit on an Atom 330 system.
Greetings,
Rob

I switched now to evolution 2.30.2 (seven hours ago) from obs
gnome:stable:2.30, after I read a similar issue on a fedora forum for F13
(sorry forgot to save the link for that).
Until now no crash, I will report back in a few days if it remains stable
(will report earlier if it also crashes).
My console output was the same as yours.
Evolution does not work. Try Creationism.

Do I find it in the repository backports:bible:old
Do I find it in the repository backports:bibleld
I dunno, you may have to ask the creator of that package about that one.

Two days later using evolution 2.30.2 for work all over the day:
No more crashes
Thanks. I’ll also try evolution 2.30.2 and report back.
Where can I find this version 2.30.2 of Evolution?
I’ve added the repository Gnome:Stable:2.30 to my list, but when I try to look for “evolution” in the software manager, I cannot find this version.
Tx for your help

Since that time when I wrote this the gnome stable updated to 2.30.3 (with
which I also do not have problems).

openSUSE 11.2 64 bit | Intel Core2 Quad Q8300@2.50GHz | KDE 4.5.1 | GeForce

openSUSE 11.3 64 bit | Intel Core2 Duo T9300@2.50GHz | Gnome 2.30 | Quadro
FX 3600M | 4GB Ram
I upgraded to 2.30.3 and I’m still experiencing random crashes, especially when sending email.
By the way, I’m using googleapps email system (gmail imap and smtp) in evolution…
