I am new to OBS. Do I also have to upload the openssl source?
No, just add to your spec file as BuildRequires libopenssl-devel

AFAIK, ssl support is built in (well it is on the SLES one I’m using)
just modify the nrpe.cfg file to include the nagios host rather than
127.0.0.1
