SSDM starting on VT1, on login Plasma Wayland starting, freezes, runs on other VT

I’m experiencing the same issue on a Framework 13 laptop (AMD). Incidentally, that is the same APU as the OP (AMD 7840U with Radeon 780M Graphics).

The workaround mentioned in the first message also worked for me, and the patched ddcutil packages from @sfalken resolved the issue.
