SSD Partitioning

I just wanted to get a few opinions about using my new SSD for my install. The scenario:

1 64GB GSkill Falcon SSD
3 250GB WD 7200rpm

My thought was to put /boot,/swap,and / on the SSD only.
Then I was going to create /home in RAID 5 on the other 3 drives.

Is this my best set up or do you recommend something else?

My assumption is that all of my media, music, and what not is going to be in the /home and so most of the write functions hit the RAID 5 and NOT the SSD.

You do not need a seperate /boot.
A lot of space will be left over on the system disk.
There is no best setup without considering a lot of things, like the usage of the system (database, web-server, ???).
The seperate /home is not a bad idea.

Hope this helps.

The typical usage is normal desktop. Virtuals installed for different Windows apps. I will be running a few games in Linux. Steam and what not. No real server usage to speak of. I have a separate box for that.

Has there been any real issues with Linux and SSD?

Linus uses one. You do the math!
