I have installed Opensuse 11.1 on my eeePC 701 4G, and everything works so far … there are only some blemishes when starting the system.
Before i forget, I’m usgin KDE (the version that was included 4.1.3 I think)
After the GRUB bootscreen is see the bootmessages till the system enters Runlevel 5 (hmm … i think thats normal so far)
But then, before i see the logon screen, i see my wallpaper and tha taskbar on the topside of the screen an at the bottom of the secreen there is something like when you take an old analog TV and it has no Signal.
Then there is the LogonScreen - fine so far
but after logging in there is the same thing as described before. Then the KDESplash appears, but the “USE” of opensuse is (not as it schould be on the gray gradient) on a dark gray field.
EDIT: I posted this in the Install/Boot/Logon section, because I think it fits best, if that isn’t so, tell me.
