Dear all,
I am using a slow computer and I have installed inside my virtual box windows xp. What are the options
for speeding up mouse interaction (now is kind of slow and reacts slowly)
making the mouse pointer one, so to follow my movements outside of the virtual machine window (Right now I press right control click my real pointer to appear)
If your host computer is slow, running virtualization will most certainly be slower. It is a very cpu and memory intensive operation. Though for the second one, you need to install “guest additions”. I am not clear. Is this computer openSUSE running inside Windows Xp? or Windows Xp running inside openSUSE? Which is the host os?
Thanks a lot that helped! You fixed it! Now guest operating system is very fast! What I miss now is a way to turn the guest operating system in full screen mode. In the installation I have at work there is a small bar at the bottom appearing that allows me to exit full screen bottom. I am not sure though why this is not in this installation visible.

Using VirtualBox, use the hostkey defined in the configuration (I forget
what the default is, I changed it on mine to be left-shift+left-control)
and “F”.
Or when not in full-screen mode, go to View-Fullscreen.
The thing you describe that has the toolbar on it is controlled through
the settings for the system, under “General” - you can enable/disable it,
or have it auto-hide.
you will notive that my virtual machine has no bar at the top or no any bar at the bottom (status bar).
I have enables the options as you told me from the menu

I have seen this happen before, usually restarting the VM resolves it.
There was an update in the Virtualization repository yesterday, might be
worth updating and see if that helps, too.
