spam here again...

Hi,

Maybe we have to start thinking about spam getting in via nntp… twice
this week.

Yes true spam is a true problem not just for this forum, unfortunately too many don’t even really know the difference between spam and an attempt to help or even a missplaced Q or A.

I’m also seeing spam in place of the first “last post” in Get Technical Help Here, related to the FAQ forum. In the FAQ forum itself there is no spam.

A few hours ago the spam was different but also in Brazilian Portuguese. Is someone else seeing this or is my Firefox 7.0 compromised? As I live in Bahia this seems very much directed.

yep…and, you know what the cure will be, don’t you?
(well, i guess the filtering (or newsgroup moderation) needed to keep
the scum out will be too much trouble and . . .)

With “buts”. It goes in plain text, so it should not be the same password
as used on other Novell things. And I don’t know if their server supports it.

It was commented time ago, and there are problems.
