Sound Issues

Hello people. I encountered some issues when I updated to SuSE 11.1 . My sound is pretty low. My headphones won’t work. I have a hp laptop. I turn up the master volume, and all the volume configurations I could possibly find, but it’s still not as loud as it used to be in Windows. That’s not much of an issue, it still loud enough but I really need my headphones to work.

Some please assist in this, not that good in hardware configs.
