Hi, i recently installed openSUSE in it’s latest version on an old computer of mien. this computer has an old intel CPU and a motherboard with built-in nForce card that handles sound and network. after i installed the OS and the network driver the sound still wasn’t working. so i went into System Settings as a SuperUser and opened sound and clicked the +add button and when on with the setup until i got an error saying “the kernel module snd_intel8x0 for sound support could not be loaded…”. what do i do?
also when i executed (as a super user) this code in the treminal
Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.24 emulation code) Kernel: Linux linux-cuwd 3.1.0-1.2-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Nov 3 14:45:45 UTC 2011 (187dde0) x86_64 Config options: 0 Installed drivers: Type 10: ALSA emulation Card config: NVidia CK8S with ALC655 at irq 20 Audio devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG Synth devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG Midi devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG Timers: 31: system timer Mixers: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG
