Sound driver error: snd_intel8x0 could not be loaded

Hi, i recently installed openSUSE in it’s latest version on an old computer of mien. this computer has an old intel CPU and a motherboard with built-in nForce card that handles sound and network. after i installed the OS and the network driver the sound still wasn’t working. so i went into System Settings as a SuperUser and opened sound and clicked the +add button and when on with the setup until i got an error saying “the kernel module snd_intel8x0 for sound support could not be loaded…”. what do i do?

also when i executed (as a super user) this code in the treminal

cat /proc/asound/oss/sndstat

it returned

Please ensure the sound device is switched ON in the BIOS (if applicable for this card).

Can you please also provide more information, which you can get by running the following script in a konsole or xterm as a regular user when connected to the internet:

/usr/sbin/alsa-info.sh

and select the SHARE/UPLOAD option and copy the website/URL that the script will give you when it is complete, and post that address here. There is an example of the displays from that script running here: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/multimedia/309430-welcome-multimedia-sub-area.html

Please also provide output of sending commands:

rpm -qa '*alsa*'
rpm -qa '*pulse*'
rpm -q libasound2
cat /etc/modprobe.d/50-sound.conf
