Hi all,
I installed a generic soundcard, to replace my failed onboard sound.
I disabled the onboard sound from the BIOS.
Now I got this error in YAST->Hardware->Sound

How can I fix this?
The drivers from the onboard sound is still here too. Should I just delete them?
Thanks

Please follow the openSUSE audio troubleshooting guide:
SDB:AudioTroubleshooting - openSUSE
In particular, install alsa-firmware, and reboot your PC, and test your sound. Check your mixer while your sound test is playing. I recommend you copy and paste this into an xterm/konsole to test your sound:
speaker-test -c2 -Ddefault -l5 -twav
If you mean the alsa drivers, then definitely not. Or are you referring to some other custom driver that you installed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Jasonbrant, your mixer is setup wrong.
