Hi all I am new to the forums and linux. I have 2 problems with my sound 1 the microphone does not work and two the sound quality in games is not surround or very good quality.
I looked around but it does not seem that there is a driver for my sound card yet. And my alsa does not allow me to keep my mic volume up nor does it seem to read it any way. Some help setting up my volume settings and any advice about the sound card would be keen.

So yeah I got the sound problem figured out, steam has some boxes you need to check after a fresh reinstall to get proper directional sound.
As for the Mic still wont work in steam can I install a creative driver through wine and make it work ? Or will this interfere with some of the open suse drivers ?
OK real simple fix the mic is recognized on your audigy card as a line in. For some reason it still mutes and turns down the volume every time I close the volume control though.
