I went ahead and did a distro upgrade after seeing 11.4 was finally released:). However, (shame on me) I was a bit rushed in enthusiasm and didnt see the posts about the zypper dup bug.
80% of the installation was full of warnings and errors. This one being the most common:
script jexec is broken. Incomplete LSB comment; missing required stop entry. Please add even if empry.
at the end the installer froze for nearly half hour. It installed one last package, and stopped working. After I was sure there was nothing going on(No disk activity or cpu usage showing on htop) I rebooted. I was in the console in init 3 during the installation.
After a really slow boot, I ended up with an apparent functional desktop and most of the things seem to work.
However due to the errors I had during install, the abrupt way it ended and some minor misconfiguration I’ve noticed, I suspect there might be some broken, miss-configured and/or missing packages.
Is there a way to check if the upgrade went OK?
( I’m using a x86_64 architecture and only have oss,non-oss and update and nvidia repos enabled. )
Thank you.
