hi. i’ve bin having trouble with this for a while now. i can get onto opensuse.org homepage, but cant load software.opensuse.org. can get on google as well but thats about it. i mainly use firefox, but ive tried konqueror and its exactly the same. i dont think its a DNS issue because i can ping say amd.com and get an ip back. the websites dont timeout, they just say waiting for (watever).com… i cant access repositories either or download anything through yast i’ve had a fiddle round with settings and nothing seems to of helped. any ideas?
There having problems due to a power failure
Geoff
its not just software.opensuse.org, and ive had problem for maby a month now?
Have you disabled IPv6 in Network Settings? It is located in Global Settings. A lot of people have problem browsing web pages if IPv6 is enabled. This maybe your problem, if you haven’t disabled it.
Cheers,
Tom
disabled it, no change
this might help?
