some DVD's audio i cant hear

i put in a dvd and couldnt hear the first 3 minutes of one dvd, i put in a second dvd and could hear anything from it, how do i know what codecs to install to hear the audio? the video is viewable

i got an audio disc to play in kaffeine but not in amorok, in setting of amarok i hit the configure phonon and pick my audio device hit test and i can hear sounds

downloaded mmcheck, the two comands didnt run in a terminal cant find file or no such file, so i ran them in alt-f2 it went thru but i saw nothing happen

You are doing something wrong obviously.

  1. what i had to do was save it in the root tmp folder and move the mmcheck to home/username/bin folder for some reason just saving it in bin folder directly didnt work, it runs but do i have to add /pub/vlc/SuSe/11.0 first, it doesnt seem to be the right one is the link too old from the article, what do i type in terminal to run each step just the number 1 let it run then type number 2 etc

  1. install 5 totem packages but says for gnome i have kde is it ok to install them?

    when i try to delete it, i get icetea web-1.1-0.6.1.x86_64 requires java-1_0_6-openjdk

i added the URL to my repo then an import untrusted gnupg key popped up do i import or not?

i added the URL and imported the untrusted gnupg key the only libDVDcss was libdvdcss2.
is libdvdcss2 the same thing as libdvdcss? there was no libdvdcss to add so i added the libdvdcss2.

libdvdcss2 is correct
