Hello
PackageKit shows an available update “openSUSE-release 15.3-lp1532.19.4”, but Yast Online Update does not show this as an update.
zypper list-updates says:
S | Repository | Name | Current Version | Available Version | Arch
--+-----------------+------------------+------------------+--------------------+-------
v | Main Repository | openSUSE-release | 15.3-lp153.152.1 | 15.3-lp1532.19.4 | x86_64
Looks like a strange version number?
Is it safe to install this update?
Thank you.
Yes, noticed that , I guess it’s a typo. Made a comment yesterday on the bug report to that effect: 1192403 – Cannnot update product
Is it safe to install this update?
Installed on both my Leap 15.3 systems without any problems.
No its not safe, that will delete the 4 new Repos Sle-Update and backports.
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1192278
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1192465
I have added a lock:
zypper al openSUSE-release
zypper al -t product Leap
Really… didn’t delete them from either of my two systems, just checked:
paul@HP255G7:~> sudo zypper lr -d

For the broken package:
v | openSUSE-release | package | 15.3-lp1532.19.4 | x86_64 | OSS
It depends on how the Repos are named in the directory…
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1192278#c30
Now there is an updated package:
i+ | openSUSE-release | package | 15.3-lp1532.157.1 | x86_64 | OSS-Update
So its safe to update this package…

You mean the names in /etc/zypp/repos.d? IMO those are pure local to the system and the system manager may name them as he likes. Isn’t that the case?
Thank you.
The update went well. I can’t see any problems.

None of my repo files use the filenames that are shipped.
What matters is baseurl. These warrant minimal hassle:
**Leap-15-3:~ #** grep -r baseurl /etc/zypp/repos.d/
/etc/zypp/repos.d/repo-non-oss.repo:**baseurl**=http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/$releasever/repo/non-oss/
