Software update fails with connection errors

I just upgraded to Leap 15 over the weekend, and this is my first attempt at installing software updates. I am informed that I have 7 updates waiting, including 1 security update. But the installation attempt fails with this message:

Update Error

Typing download.opensuse.org into my browser gets me a 403 error, which means that the host did resolve. But pinging it redirects to ftp.opensuse.org. The ping works fine with the new host name.

There are issues with the mirror redirector. It’s being worked on, please be patient

Thanks. (I learned about patience last year.)

The software update issue is very common as it happens on any platforms as you are saying that it is happening on the Dell device and I have faced it on Apple devices. I have also concerned it to the Apple Ipad Support and they said that the issue can be solved by the device’s support system.
