Software Manager (/usr/sbin/packagekitd)

Am I the only one who gets this on gnome everytime I start up package manager or package finder in 11.3?

System management is locked by the application with pid 6890 (/usr/sbin/packagekitd)

I literally have to kill -9 pid everytime I run it. What is going on here?

No, and I’m not sure why it seems to run so often, but if you want a
minute or so it should stop. Mine is usually gone within several seconds.

Good luck.

Hello p4rt1cl3,

I don’t use GNOME myself but I think it could be an updater checking for updates.
So when the updater is checking you can’t access the Software Management.

Hopes this helps!
Best of luck!

Thanks, guys. Opensuse owns
