Last time I opened Software Manager it said I had 9.13 Gb disk space remaining.
Today after a while I opened Software Manager. It took a while indeed updating the repos, but when finally finishing, Software Manager said I had 8.9 Gb disk space remaining! And even after rebooting! (Though I noted Software Manager opened much faster after reboot, probably since it didn’t need to update everything again…).
I didn’t install anything new nor created/copied any file in my hard disk on all this while, and even deleted all cookies on Firefox.
What’s going on!?

I’m sure that it is not “software manager” which is taking that space.

Then what could be happening? I’m sure about what I saw…

There is no direct tie between YaST Package Management and Firefox. Most
likely what is happening is you installed/updated some packages which
required additional disk space, in this case 230 MB.

Well, you have to run something to find where the space is going. You
can concoct a “du” command line to find out where the space in your
system is going, issue it before and after a suspect, and then find
where the space went…
But blaming software manager when you run it with one day in between, in
a system as complex as Linux, doesn’t hold. There can be many things.
There is repository metadata, of course, but then there are logs
growing. Some people found out that their logs took out dozens of entire
gigabytes in just days…
