Software Management: Error code: Curl error 35

Hi all,

I’ve been using opensuse for many years and I’m currently on tumbleweed, and I’m having issues with the software update, I keep getting the following error:

History:
 - Download (curl) error for 'https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Extra/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/repodata/repomd.xml':
   Error code: Curl error 35
Error message: TLS connect error: error:00000000:lib(0)::reason(0)

This happens all the time, even though my internet connection is fine, I can go to the url without any issues, when I try to update, it is just a constant every few seconds I get this message and I have to click retry, which is very annoying, anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

We have an error message, but we do not know what you are doing (except for this very vague expression).

Oh sorry, I’m just running zypper dup command

And after retry it succeeds?

most times it does, but it is like almost every few packages it will ask to retry, once the ssl connection is established it will be fine - so it won’t do it mid-download. So the other day it was downloading ~1400 packages and pressing retry after every 2-5 packages is not fun…

Then it is something outside of openSUSE. Try different mirror or use HTTP instead of HTTPS.

I have tried that, I was going to change them all to use the germany mirrors - same issue with the first one I tried to convert (oss), but I shall try and report back none-the-less

ok now I just feel stupid… thanks for being my rubber duck programmers folks. Changed them all to http, and now they are working fine. I’ve never had this issue before in almost 20 years of using opensuse…

Why? This is a users help users forum. And when suggestions help, that is just fine.
