What are the current options for voice control software? Specifically; using spoken voice to issue commands. I’m surprised that the year is 2024 and this still isn’t a built-in feature. I was doing basic speech-triggered hotkey commands on my Mac in the early 2000’s.
I’m mostly interested in gaming applications; being able to speak commands quickly. Simply mapping spoken words to hotkeys would be fine.
Unfortunately, I can’t answer your question because my question is the same. I looked into this a few months ago and didn’t find anything, or at least nothing promising enough for me to even test. Maybe someone knows something we don’t!
I suspect this is an other area where the gnu/linux desktop as fallen behind the times.
