Software for making cd's from Old Music records

I have loaded SuSe 11.1 onto a clients computer to the total exclusion of Windows, to date he is very happy, he had MS program to put his old music records onto cd’s is there anything available in linux ?

Cheers

Ron

For putting music onto cd’s I recommend you a cd-bruner. I don’t have better idea. In YaST -> Software management search for k3b on KDE. If you installed Gnome search for Brasero.
Good luck.

If we are talking old vinyl records that need to be imported onto the
computer and then burned to CD, I’d say look at audacity to do the
recording and then your favorite burning software to burn it.

This will work for you. Ive done it using audacity in the past with no problems

audacity can have a little bit of a learning curve, when using some of the more advanced tools, but nothing crazy
