Snapper error on config creation: (open failed path: errno:2 (No such file or directory))

Hi all my first install of thumbleweed.
I’m trying to configure snapper with

sudo snapper -c root create-config /

here is the error :

IO error (open failed path: errno:2 (No such file or directory)).

here is my system:

Linux localhost.localdomain 5.11.4-1-default #1 SMP Mon Mar 8 05:16:55 UTC 2021 (be77cd2) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Same issue.
