Smilies In Webpages (URL and names)

SDB:Zypper troubleshooting - openSUSE

Is there any hope that
the autocorrect function that is making picture- smilies (which I like in other places)
could make a exception for webpages/links (their URL and their [retrieved] names)?

To make it clear: that is not a pressing issue for me:).

There’s a miscellaneous option to turn off smilies in text.

Or just wrap any links in code

I can write:
about:config
here because I used code wrap
and http for the same reason

Thanks for the answers especially for the second.

I think until there is an exception in this auto correct function I will rather turn off all picture emotions (“which I like in other places”;)) in those postings than post unlinked URLs.

You could also use “noparse”-tags:

http://wiki.opensuse.org/SDB:Zypper_troubleshooting

…will look like this:

http://wiki.opensuse.org/SDB:Zypper_troubleshooting

…and yet in the same post smilies will work:

Though pistazienfresser has a point. If the parser is smart enough to detect URLs, it can easily turn off smilies in URLs, which aren’t needed in any URL that I can think of.
