smbclient

since updating to opensuse 11.2 this is what I get, when I try to do my backup:

Have you setup Samba? Opened the firewall to local for SMB?

Before updating to 11.2, samba was running perfectly fine on opensuse 11.0, therefore I did not see the necessity to set it up again. Do I have to? How can I check if samba is running properly.

Firewall? I will check for that and post the result, thank you.

Well now, there is no firewall running!

Hey, suddenly it is working again. But I’ve got no idea why! I just checked a few things but did not (knowingly) change anything.
