In opensuse 11 I can’t browse my workgroup with dolphin or konqueror. Can any one help?
To be able to do that, you must first install SMB Server from YaST; the default SMB Client package only provides very basic SMB functionality. It does allow you to reach other SMB hosts though: either by
– specifying their network IP (as in smb://192.168.2.6) or by
– mounting their shared drives on a local folder.
Greetz!
Well that does not answer to my question. Opensuse 10.* and other distros can access smb network without the server. Is this a opensuse bug or kde4 bug?

Did you try disabling the firewall in your OpenSuSE 11?
Check you have these RPMs installed:
samba, samba-client, libsmbclient, yast2-samba-client, yast2-samba-server, samba-doc
Config your firewall as per this tutorial excerpt

There is a reported bug in KDE4.0 with respect to browsing Samba shares. It
has been reported that this is fixed with KDE4.1. KDE3.5 is also good.
