smb nautilus browsing problem in openSUSE 11.0

Hi Swerdna

Yes I’m using gnome. Install is from the 11.0 GM Live cd. I will get the other info for you later.

Thanks for the help.

Jens

Hi Swerdna

got some more info for you:

By su to root and running nautilus as root I can see the messages. Here is the one when accessing the original share:

** (nautilus:3626): WARNING **: Got GFileInfo with NULL name in smb://192.168.1.1/share/, ignoring. This shouldn’t happen unless the gvfs backend is broken.

So do you have any idea about how to repair the gvfs backend?

Regards
Jens

Well there’s a result. But I’ve never heard of it. You could wait for someone with ideas re gvs to suggest something. If that fails, might be becasue this thread is so long it’s not seen by those folk. If no answer suggest you start new thread about a problem with gvs in Samba. Wait and see? All I could find was this:
FedoraForum.org - F9 Browsing Samba share problem.
