SMART: G-Sense_Error_Rate goes through the roof - one day more than thousands

freshly installed hdd in a server shows some issues with g-sense in smart

while i do not have any reading error

any ideas

well i need to do some further checks now…

i need to do a Google search for the drive’s model and the phrase “g sense error”?

not yet: but on a second measure the rates lowered

well guess that the system works better now…

smartctl errors indicate hardware problems. Hardware problems DON’T get better. but G-sense is based on errors induced by vibration or shock. So don’t bounce the machine while it is running.
