Slowroll version numbers

I converted my tumbleweed to Tumbleweed-Slowroll recently. Today I tried to “dup” and finally got some new packages.

Now I am wondering why and when the version will increase? I exepected a simililar package, like e.g. openSUSE-release-20230904-2482.1.x86_64.rpm.

Slowroll does not have snapshots (version) like Tumbleweed (yet). It is more like Leap where also no snapshots (versions) exist…

There is a testing area on OBS for the next slowroll snapshot but it is not active yet. So this feature may come in the future…

lsb-release -id

Does Slowroll have any kind of update notification system in the GUI, for example in the Gnome version? Or is this missing like in Tumbleweed, where you have to rely on mailing lists?

returns n/a

It behaves like tumbleweed, yet.

This is Slowroll in Qemu:

As you can see, there is an Update Applet in Plasma.

This statement is wrong. Please read my comment in your thread where you initialy raised this question about update notifiers.

Actually there was a new snapshot release coming in:

cat /etc/os-release
NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed-Slowroll"
# VERSION="20231001"
ID_LIKE="opensuse suse"
PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed-Slowroll"

Thanks to @bmwiedemann
I love Tumbleweed:SlowRoll!
